== Summary == 
Getting the basic structure for your base is usually the one of the first things you do. You will need a base to install your solar panels, [[Solid Fuel Generator|solid fuel generator]] and get the [[Battery Charger|battery charger]] hooked up to an [[Power Controller|APC]] to get power from the [[Solar Panel|solar panels]]. You need frames to attach these [[:Category:Structures|structures]] too.

=== Iron Frames === 
[[Iron Frames|Iron frames]] are your basic building blocks. [[Iron Walls|iron walls]] can be used but they don't allow [[:Category:Structures|structures]] to be placed. [[Iron Frames|Iron frames]] do not have to have iron sheets added on them to place [[:Category:Structures|structures]]. You can use the frame itself. The frame without sheets allows you to walk through it and place [[Cables|cables]] and [[Pipes|pipes]] inside. Which you can seal up after to pass connections through rooms.

== Constructing == 
Grab [[Iron Frames|Iron Frames]] into active hand, use right-click to bring up place mode and left-click when frame is in desired spot.


Then equip a welder in one hand and [[Iron Sheets]] in the other hand, two per frame you wish to install. The welder needs to be the active hand.


Use the 'O' button to toggle the welder on.

Then aim at the frame of the [[Iron Frames]] and left click. The welder will go through a green progress bar adding one [[Iron Sheets|Iron Sheet]] from the inactive hand.

That completes one wall/ceiling/floor that you can place structures on.

== Deconstructing == 
The frame is broken down in stages. First you remove the sheets using a [[wrench]] and then the [[Angle Grinder|angle grinder]] to take down the actual frame once all sheets are removed.


It is often needed to remove one layer of [[Iron Sheets]] so you can pass new cables through a wall. In which case only the [[wrench]] is needed.

This is atrocious. Can you convert this into English please? I'd like to make a system that resets and turns off at night, and has reasonable power - yet I can't understand this broken English with barely coherent directions. May be I missed smth, but isn't a direction where the sun rises is called EAST? And WEST - is were Sun goes down?

Ltmayday: nope west is were the sun comes up, east is were it go's down, that's how it say's on the guides plus vids.

When I turned them all on and then powered them from a local power management unit (that way I can turn the entire system 'on' or 'off' rather than screwing memory by turning random units on in random patterns possibly skewing things - and it did absolutely nothing. It reset to 0% then sat there, and has done for days since. I turned everything off then on again, triple checked EVERY variable is entered correctly, etc. I even renamed all my chips and shit to the letters in the diagram to quadruple check that I didn't stuff up. And nothing is happening. How are we meant to turn this on? Or reset it when it clearly doesn't work like this? Any help would be appreciated!
