== Description == 
Drills through terrain until it hits bedrock. Once inside bedrock 10 or 11 [[Dirty Ore]] is produced every 80 to 100 seconds<ref>data extracted from game's file</ref>. Both values are random each time, by average 10.5 ore every 90s (7 ore per minute).

== Region Ore distribution == 
Since update 0.2.5903.26007 (terrain update), deep ore generation is now tied to regions, with each region yielding a set ratio of ores, some regions containing only a single ore type for deep mining, with others containing two or three. The deep mining yield of a region can be detected using the [[Cartridge|Cartridge (Deep Miner)]] or using the [[Motherboard (Map)]] and a [[Rocket Deep Scanner Head]].

== Ore Distribution (Prior to 0.2.5903.26007 (terrain update)) ==

Prior to the Terrain update, most locations had the same ore-distribution table, Venus and Vulcan being the exceptions.
The percentages may not add up to exactly 100% due to rounding, and your numbers may be slightly different due to the random number generator that selects what ore comes out of a Dirty Ore when cleaned.

==Description==
Exchanges heat between two pipe networks. It's next upgrade is the [[Kit (Large Direct Heat Exchanger)‏‎| Large Direct Heat Exchanger]]. <br>

==Usage==
The kit produces 3 versions, gas to gas, liquid to gas and liquid to liquid. Each version has 2 pipe connections for pipe atmospheres whose contents' heat will be exchanged. The heat exchanger itself does not have an internal volume and instead acts directly on the input pipe networks. A meter on the side displays the heat exchange rate in joules (per tick?).

== Notes ==
In older versions, [[Kit (Heat Exchanger) |heat exchangers]] had 2 inputs and 2 outputs intended for active liquid flow. This feature has been consolidated in the form of the [[Kit (Counterflow Heat Exchanger)‏‎| counterflow heat exchanger]].
