<translate>
<!--T:1-->
There are two types of fuel, solid fuel and gas mixtures. The only solid fuel available in the game right now is Coal, coal can be used to fuel the Solid Fuel Generator.
In order to use gasses for fuel you need a combustible gas combined with an oxygen source. The only flammable gas in the game is Volatiles (labeled as H2), the two oxygen sources are Oxygen (2:1 mix simply called fuel) and Nitrous Oxide (1:1 mix called superfuel).

Using Fuels
Fuel Combustion
Autoignition Temperature: 300℃<br>
2 Volatiles + 1 O₂ -> 3 Pollutant + 6 CO₂ + 572kJ

Fuel Combustion Using a H2 Combustor
2 Volatiles + 1 O₂ -> 2 H₂O + 429kJ

Superfuel Combustion
Autoignition Temperature: 50℃<br>
1 Volatiles + 1 N₂O -> 2 N₂ + 2 CO₂ + 572kJ

Note that staying below autoignition temperature means condensation for Nitrous Oxide at more than about 1MPa pressure, making it hard to store the fuel mix in large quantities without liquid management. While this reaction releases the same amount of energy as the classic fuel combustion above, it does so using half the volatiles and heating waste gases with less thermal mass resulting in higher temperatures.

== Mixing Fuel == <!--T:2-->
You can easily mix fuel by adding O2 and H2 to a pipe network in order to put it into canisters or pump into a furnace.

H2 can be attained by melting the Ice (Volatiles) that can be found in some worlds while being part of the atmosphere of Vulcan. O2 can be attained by melting the Ice (Oxite) or again from some atmospheres. N₂O is part of Ice (Nitrice) or can be created by the Nitrolyzer.

Depending on how exact the proportions of your gas mixture are you will end up with different end temperatures and pressures after ignition.

==Basic Canister Mixing Setup== <!--T:3-->
Parts required
* 2 x Portables Connector
* 2 x Portable Gas Tank
* 1 x Pipe Gas Mixer
* 1 x Gas Tank Storage
* n x Pipes
* n x Cables
* n x Gas Canister

===Setup=== <!--T:4-->
# Place both Portable Connectors
# Connect both Portable Connectors to the the inputs of the Pipe Gas Mixer
# Connect the Pipe Gas Mixer output to the Gas Tank Storage input
# Connect the Pipe Gas Mixer power input to power source.

===Use=== <!--T:5-->
# Put first Portable Gas Tank or scrubber filled with O2 on one Portables Connector.
# Put second Portable Gas Tank or scrubber filled with H2/volatile on the other Portables Connector.
# Use a wrench to connect both Portable Gas Tanks to their places.
# Optional: for a perfect fuel mix, ensure the temperatures of both gases are exactly the same.
# Set the Pipe Gas Mixer to desired combination (34% O2 + 66% H2) Note: as the combination is a floating point number, you can also enter 0.333... or 0.666... with a labeler to get a more precise mix.
# Turn on Pipe Gas Mixer
# Place an empty Gas Canister in Gas Tank Storage.
== Description == <!--T:2-->
The Solar Panel generates power by absorbing sunlight, depending on solar intensity, up to 500W per panel on the moon. Can be manually rotated using a Wrench. Can be built in two configurations, one with opposite side split power/data ports, or two with same side combined power/data ports.

Data ports can interact with Daylight Sensors and logic i/o writers or batch writers to automatically rotate the panel to face the sun.

At the extreme attitude settings (0/100) the solar panel still faces 15 degrees above the horizon. Thus the total arc of vertical rotation is only 150 degrees from input values 0-100.

Can also be destroyed by storms, or left with very little health. Best course of action is to remove the solar panels when you are notified of a storm by a Weather Station, Which allows you to replace them once the storm is over.

They can be repaired with Duct Tape, or by dissembling them and reassembling them. You could even cover them with windows to protect them from storms at the cost of some efficiency of the panels themselves being lost. And Heavy Solar Panels are a more expensive version that do not take storm damage but it is debatable if its worth making the tier 2 metal Astroloy to prevent storm damage whilst retaining maximum efficiency.

== Types of Solar Panel Kit == <!--T:2-->
Printed with the Electronics Printer (Tier One)
These are useful early on when resources are limited.
*Kit (Solar Panel Basic) don't have logic inputs so they can't be set up to automatically track the sun and spend most of their time at reduced power output.
*Kit (Solar Panels) have logic inputs and can be programmed to track the sun for optimal power output.

Printed with the Electronics Printer (Tier Two)
These are protected against storm damage, but more expensive. Note that not all planets have storms.
*Kit (Solar Panel Basic Heavy) don't have logic inputs.
*Kit (Solar Panel Heavy) have logic inputs.

== Positioning == <!--T:3-->

Pay close attention to the positioning of your solar panel since their automation will depend heavily on it.
Most user-made scripts and guides orient the panels with the data port facing sunset and the power port facing sunrise.

==Notes== <!--T:4-->
After placement be sure to install one Glass Sheet to make it functional.

See Sensors and Solar_Logic_Circuits_Guide for panel automation using logic circuits.
== Description == <!--T:2-->

Electronics Printer (Tier One)

== Positioning == <!--T:3-->

Pay close attention to the positioning of your solar panel since their automation will depend heavily on it.
Most user-made scripts and guides orient the panels with the data port facing sunset and the power port facing sunrise.

==Notes== <!--T:4-->
After placement be sure to install one Glass Sheet to make it functional.

See Sensors and Solar_Logic_Circuits_Guide for panel automation using logic circuits.

<languages/>
<translate>
Description
An Atmosphere to Vacuum Airlock is a Room that can evacuate and refill its internal volume with the Atmosphere connected to it. It has two or more airtight Portals which all do not open simultaneously. An Atmosphere to Vacuum Airlock allows passage between a pressurized environment and a (near) vacuum environment without the loss of Pressure.

An Atmosphere to Vacuum Airlock can be controlled automatically using a Circuitboard (Airlock) installed within a Console which will refer to the pressurized environment as "interior" and the vacuum environment as "exterior".

When activated with the interior-portal open, the system will automatically close the interior-portal and will activate all selected Active Vents to try to evacuate the interior-atmosphere from the airlock chamber. Only after a total vacuum is achieved within all of the Large Grid Volumes in which selected Gas Sensors reside will the exterior-portal automatically open.

When activated with the exterior-portal open, the system will automatically close the exterior-portal and will activate all selected Active Vents to pressurize the chamber with interior-atmosphere. Only after the airlock's internal pressure equals or exceeds 101 kPa will the interior-portal automatically open.

Materials
The minimum material requirements for an Atmosphere to Vacuum Airlock chamber are:
* 2 x Portals: variants of either Kit (Airlock), Kit (Blast Door), Kit (Door), or Kit (Docking Port)
* n x Materials for finishing the construction of the portal. For example Composite Door requires 1 x Plastic Sheets and 1 x Glass Sheets.
* 1 x Kit (Consoles) Console
* 1 x Circuitboard (Airlock) to determine the function of the console
* 1 x Glass Sheets for finishing the construction of the console
* 1 x Data Disk for programming of the console
* 1 x Kit (Sensors) Gas Sensor
* 1 x Kit (Active Vent)
* 2 x Kit (Pipe)
* n x Cable Coil
Optional materials:
* 1 x Kit (Passive Vent)
* 1 x Kit (Flashing Light) or 1 x Kit (Lights) + 1 x Spray Paint
* 1 x Kit (Power Controller)

Construction
A minimum Atmosphere to Vacuum Airlock can be constructed using the following instructions:

# Place both Portals one Large Grid apart with the power and data ports facing into the airlock's interior.
# Using the Labeller, rename each door as "Interior-Door" and "Exterior-Door" appropriately. Note that some doors have their tag sprayed onto them, so a different name may be more appealing, as long as its distinguishable.
# Ensure the "Exterior-Door" is OPEN, and the "Interior-Door" is CLOSED.
# Enclose the four remaining sides of the airlock chamber with airtight frames, walls, or windows.
# Place Console, Active Vent, Gas Sensor, and optional Flashing Light or Kit (Lights) (and color it using Spray Paint) and Power Controller somewhere within the airlock's interior.
# Ensure all placed devices are attached to the same Wire Network including the portals' power and data ports.
# Ensure the airlock's wire network is connected to an active Power Supply and all devices can receive power.
# Attach a Pipe Network to the Active Vent large enough to hold the volume of the airlock or pass it through to a Passive Vent placed in the "interior" environment.
# Ensure the "interior" pipe network is not connected to any other pipe network.
# Insert Circuitboard (Airlock) into the console, then place the Glass Sheet onto the console.
# Insert Data Disk into the side slot of Console then power on the Console.
# Use the console's up and down arrows to scroll through the list of devices. Click to select. Click again to deselect if incorrect
# Find and click "Exterior-Door" followed by all caps and green "EXTERIOR". NOTE: OF THE DOORS, SELECT THIS FIRST!
# Ensure the Exterior-Door's lock-indicator has turned from green to red.
# Find and click "Interior-Door" followed by all caps and green "INTERIOR".
# Ensure the Interior-Door's lock-indicator has turned from green to red.
# Find and click "Active Vent" followed by all caps and green "VENT".
# Find and click "Gas Sensor" followed by all caps and green "SENSOR".
# Find and click "Flashing Light" or "Light" followed by all caps and green "LIGHT". (optional)
# Remove Data Disk from the side slot of Console.
<br>If there is an error the console screen will say so and the power light will flash yellow.
Note that the text BEFORE the green is the name of the object and the text IN green is what slot on the circuitboard it will be linked to. These are filtered, so you cannot link a sensor to a door slot and vice versa.
Also notice what the green text says after your doors and how that changes when selecting a door; It will ask for the 'Exterior' door first and 'Interior' door second.

Troubleshooting
When powered, all associated doors and vents are locked, preventing their manual use even when power is subsequently denied. This can be a problem when trapped within an airlock during a power outage. Best practise is to ensure the airlock's wire network is connected to an emergency Power Supply such as a Battery Cell equipped Power Controller.

A pressurization phase will stall if there is not enough gas available to the selected Active Vents to reach 101 kPa. Stalled pressurizations can be skipped by clicking the yellow "Cancel Pressurize" button on a console.

An airlock depressurization phase will not complete until the Large Grid Volumes in which all selected Gas Sensors reside are depleted of atmosphere. A leak from a pressurized environment into the airlock might cause the depressurization phase to stall. Stalled depressurizations can be skipped by clicking the yellow "Cancel Depressurize" button on a console.

In larger airlocks, ensure there is one Gas Sensor per Large Grid to prevent the premature opening of the exterior portal and the resulting loss of atmosphere, or install the Active Vent in the same Large Grid Volume where the exterior door is and the Gas Sensor in the same Large Grid Volume as the interior door or wherever is the furthest away from the Active Vent, as that will be the last volume becoming a vacuum.

Disconnecting objects may confuse the circuitboard, may prevent selection of different objects or lock out objects from manual interaction. This is not intended behaviour, but disconnecting the console from the rest and / or disassembling the console one or more times generally solves those kinds of issues. That will also clear the console of any past objects that either aren't connected anymore or have been renamed. It's annoying and can be dangerous if you fiddle with these setups (beyond regular use) whilst low on oxygen, hydration or nourishment, so be aware of that.
