Description
Used in conjunction with a Space Helmet to go outside a pressurized and breathable environment. It features adjustable pressure and air conditioning (temperature) settings, as well as an warning system that will alert the occupant should the atmosphere inside the suit become hazardous. It can also carry a Spacepack for additional storage and jumpjet capabilities.

The EVA Suit is the lighter of the two suits available, with the other (much more expensive) suit being the Hardsuit.

Usage
Your suit must be worn with a suitable helmet to function properly. You must insert suitable gas canisters and filters into the suit's slot (see below). These will need to be manually changed on a periodic basis, althoguh the canisters can also be recharged/drained using a fully-supplied Suit Storage rack.

Your suit readouts are normally dispayed at the top-right of the screen. Your suit functions can be accessed by pressing the Number 3 key. This will bring up a panel showing the suit's slots and its various settings. These only function when wearing a suitable closed helmet, and are as follows:
*A/C On / Off (i.e. Temperature control on/off)
*Filters On / Off
*Air On / Off
*Pressure Up / Down (with a range of 0kPA to 202kPa, or 0-2 Earth atmospheres)
*Temperature Up / Down (with a range of 0°C to 60°C)

Your suit Battery will also power (and be drained by) the light in any attached helmet. If damaged, your suit can be patched by holding Duct Tape in your right hand and holding the right mouse button. The colour of an (unworn) suit can be changed using Spray Paint.

Slots
Contains 6 slots:
* 1x Air Tank - Insert a Canister or Gas Canister (Smart) with a breatable gas mix (for example O2, Air, Air 20/80 or Nitrox 35/65)
* 1x Waste Tank - Insert an empty Canister or Gas Canister (Smart) where gases removed by the Filters will be stored
* 1x Life Support - Insert a charged Battery Cell (ideally Large or Nuclear)
* 3x Filters - Insert at least one CO2 Filters (if Human), plus others depending on your breathable gas mix (usually Nitrogen)

Notes
* Suit pressure set to 50-100 KPa (0.5 to 1 Earth atmospheres), Humans in-game tolerating 11 to ~250kPa and survivng 11 to ~300kPA)
* Suit temperature is normally set to 18-21°C, Humans in-game prefering 10-29°C, tolertaing 0-39°C and surviving around -10 to 49°C
* Additional key bindings to control your suit functions can be set in the Game Settings ---> Controls.

* The maximum allowed pressure the Filtes can cope with in the Waste Tank is 4052kPa (well below its maximum pressure). Low/critical Oxygen warnings will occur close to this value as your Filters cease to function.
* The default filter is the CO2 filter, a gas generated by the Human character when consuming breathable gas.
* Make sure if you aren't using 100% Oxygen in your breathing gas that you add additional Filters! E.g. if you put the common "Air" mixture of 25% Oxygen + 75% Nitrogen into your tank, the Nitrogen would accumulate in your suit/helmet over time and suffocate you unless you have a Nitrogen filter to remove this.
* If you have the correct filters and breathable gas but are still expereicning problems, refer to the 'Flush' function on your Space Helmet

* It is theoreticlly possible to mix EVA Suit elements and Hardsuit elements, although this is relatively uncommon
* Damaged suits can be recycled (assuming you have a new one to use!)

Additional Explanation of Breathing inside a Suit
Think of it this way: You start with a 100% Oxygen atmosphere in your suit/helmet. Through breathing you will replace some of the O2 with CO2. The CO2 will be removed by the suit's filters (which are by default three CO2 filters), in turn dropping the pressure in the suit/helmet. The breathing tank will replenish the suit's pressure atmosphere (with whatever is in the breating tank) until the target pressure of the suit is reached again. This cycle will repeat over and over. So if you have anything else than pure O2 in your breathing tank, it will be introduced into the atmosphere of your suit and will accumulate over time (ultimately to 100%, because you're not breathing it and it doesn't get filtered out!) If you don't have pure Oxygen available or choose not to use it, you can use other gas mixtures, but must be sure that you add the appropriate filters to your suit as well.

}}

Description
A combined jetpack / storage unit worn on the back, usually in combination with a Hardsuit. The jetpack is capable of very high flight speeds of 15m/s (over 3x faster running in a spacesuit over smooth terrain), and will generate significant inertia whilst at full speed. The jetpack is especially useful for travelling long distance, although it consumes propellant much faster than a Spacepack.

The much cheaper, smaller and less powerful Spacepack is also available, as is a more-readily attainable Hardsuit Backpack (which provides additional storage but no jetpack functionality).

Usage
Your jetpack can be activated using the Keyboard shortcut J or by pressing the Spacebar (which will cause you to gain altitude). It also significantly increases your carrying capacity.

The jetpack includes a Stabilizer function, which when activated will cause your character to 'hover' after gaining altitude in a gravity well, rather than falling. It is also possible to adjut the 'Thrust' Value of your jetpack. This will not change the top speed you can attain, but instead adjusts the rate of acceleration. The Hardsuit Jetpack can therefore be made much less twitchy for use around your base by decreasing its Thrust setting.

Your backpack storage and jetpack functions can be accessed by pressing the Number 4 key. This will bring up a panel showing the backpacks's settings, as follows:
* Stabilizer On / Off - Toggle the Stabalizer on and off
* Thrust Up/Down - When the jetapck is active, adjusts Thrust by increments of +/-10%

The colour of an (unworn) helmet can be changed using Spray Paint.

Slots
It contains 10 slots, as follows:
* 1x Propellant Tank - Insert a Canister or Gas Canister (Smart) containing suitable propellant gas (usually pure N2, but sometimes [Carbond Dioxide|CO2]])
* 14x Generic Storage slots

Notes
* Your backpack can hold items stacked withiin itmes (so in theroy, you could nest multiple backpacs - although this may be contray to the spirit of the game!)
* It is theoreticlly possible to mix EVA Suit elements and Hardsuit elements, although this is relatively uncommon
* Marine Armor has no matching backpack, and could therefore be supplemented sensibly with any backpack

* Any gas mix can be used as propellent, as Thrust is generated by controlled venting of the gas, not by combustion (although see below...)
* Your jetpack vents its propellant directly into the atmsophere or any sealed room you are inside - as such, your jetpack could potentially continate a sealed environment (for example with Carbon Dioxide or Pollutant), or even cause a fire if it causes Oxygen and Hydrogen to mix in sufficent quntities to support spontaneous combustion
* In theroy, you could carry a spare propellant tank in your backpack, potentially with an alternate gas mix (possibly allowing safe use of jetpack 'indoors')
* Generally you will wish to use a gas with plentiful availabilty as jetpack propellant (such as Carbon Dioxide on Mars)

Description
Power is one of the main resources. A power network is a series of connected Cables and the individual machines connected to it. Each network has two main metrics - Actual Power, and Power Potential.
*Actual power is the active draw, or usage, of power from machines on the network.
*The Power Potential of the network is the currently accessible potential of power that could be drawn from the network. As such, the Actual Power can never exceed the Power Potential, if more power is needed by machines, you effectively have a shortage. Some times the Power Potential is buffered in batteries, in which case it is saved for later, but in the case of power generation - Power Potential that isn't used will be effectively lost.

This reddit post by u/Chribitz details power usage rates of most, if not all, machines/components/tools that use it.

Cables and Fuses
Individual types of cable have a maximum Actual Power limit (Normal: 5kW, Heavy: 100kW), the Potential Power can be as high as you want, but if the Actual Power draw from the network exceeds the capacity of the cable, one or more cables on the network will blow. In order to avoid random cables blowing, you can add a Fuse to the power network. Once the power limit is exceeded, the fuse on the network will blow instead of random pieces of cable on the network making it a very easy problem to fix instead of having to hunt around large networks trying to find the issue.

* Players interact with the world, items, and structures in Stationeers with an active hand system.
* Your left and right hands are represented in the bottom middle of the screen.
** WASD movement
** Left Click interacts with the world using the current hand or tool in the current hand (ex: you can't interact with buttons while holding an item)
** Right Click starts placement mode when holding a structure (ex: Iron Frames or Autolathe)
** Mouse Wheel
*** With an open inventory - changes active slot
*** When placing a structure - changes the mode for an item in placement mode (use this with Cables to change their shape)
*** When using some consoles or computers - scrolls the active menu
** E swaps current active hand
** R opens the item in the current hand, or goes to its options
** F swaps between held items and items in your inventory on the side (accessed through the number keys)
** Q drops the currently held item in the active hand, holding Q will cause you to throw the item
** 1-6 will open menus for worn items similar to pressing R, holding 1-6 will cause it to swap with the item in the current hand, or simply go in the current hand - don't do this with the helmet or suit in a vacuum
*** You can swap the Tool Belt and the Mining Belt by holding a belt in your hand and then holding 6
** Delete, End, Insert, Home, Page Up, Page Down rotate item in placement mode. C is usefull for autorotate when placing cables or pipes.
** G grab - not the same as drag, which is triggered by clicking on a portable item's handle with an empty hand
** I quick open the helmet - don't do this in a vacuum. You can lock the helmet in it's menu to avoid this.
** O turn held item on or off
** J turn jet pack on or off. The propulsion tank will last for many hours use, use it freely for building or mining. Still, make sure you turn off the jet pack when not using it, as the jet pack will continue to drain the propulsion tank.

<!--T:20-->
Here's the first obstacle in your way: getting your first run of Steel.

<!--T:21-->
# Create a Furnace from the Autolathe - nice
#* 2 volatile ice
#* 1 oxite ice
# You need a ratio of these items to get steel
#* 3 iron ore
#* 1 coal
#* you can double check the ratio with the Cartridge (eReader) in the Handheld Tablet
# Insert 2 volatile ice and 1 oxite ice into the furnace (this will be easier to do at night otherwise the ice might melt)
# Insert iron ore and coal at a ratio of 3-1 (3 iron - 1 coal)
#* Check the contents view on the furnace and you should see hydrocarbons and iron listed
#* Hit Activate and enjoy the light show
#* Pull the lever and enjoy your Steel - 100g lasted me for a long time 😎
#* You can run multiple batches as long as you're in the right pressure & temperature range
# Warning ore cannot be recovered from the Furnace unless you use a Centrifuge - make sure you measure it out!

=== Surviving Forever === <!--T:22-->

<!--T:23-->
Once you've gotten past the early part of the game, the world is your oyster. Here's some overall goals:

<!--T:24-->
# Create one or more Battery to store power more consistently
# Automate solar power collection using I/O and a Daylight Sensor - Solar Logic Circuits Guide
# Create a Fabricator and hook up a Computer to it
# Use Chutes, Conveyors, and Stackers if you're interested in the ole Factorio feel
# Create an actual ship! (Using Furniture, Rocket Engine, Stellar Anchor and some other parts)
# Create advanced ingots such as Solder, Invar, Electrum, Constantan

=== Multiplayer === <!--T:25-->

<!--T:26-->
tbd - but yeah, Don't grief!

=== Tips === <!--T:27-->
* Your starting Oxygen will last you for more than a week, so oxygen recovery can wait
* An Area Power Controller will effectively "split" a power & data network
** Power and data are transferred on the same network - no need to run parallel power lines
* The waste canister can be used to power the jet pack - simply switch the canisters over for an emergency fix
* A locker holds 30 items and is very useful in the early game
* Ice will melt in hands, in the world, or in lockers - ice will not melt inside of a Mining Belt or in a cold environment.
* Help, I can't deconstruct something! - check that the Hand Drill's battery is not Empty
* A battery will charge twice as fast in an Area Power Controller than in a Battery Charger (Nuclear is only 73% faster) according to this helpfull reddit post by u/Chrisbitz
This page is a work-in-progress, add Tips to the bottom 😎

<!--T:2-->
This should be a crash-course primer to getting started in Stationeers. You can find more guides in the Steam community, several of which are linked from the front page of this wiki.

<!--T:3-->
This guide assumes that you've selected Moon as your scenario.

=== Basic Controls === <!--T:4-->

<!--T:5-->
=== Surviving Forever === <!--T:22-->

<!--T:23-->
Once you've gotten past the early part of the game, the world is your oyster. Here's some overall goals:

<!--T:24-->

=== Multiplayer === <!--T:25-->

<!--T:26-->
tbd - but yeah, Don't grief!

=== Tips === <!--T:27-->
Used to recycle a variety of items. The recycler reclaims 50% of the resources used to create the item and produces a "reagent" ore that can be further processed into its components using a Centrifuge. If a reagent is passed into it however, 100% is reclaimed and the same reagent is passed through.

Items within a container, such as a toolbelt, will also be recycled and added to the resulting reagent ore.

A rover can be constructer by placing a kit (Rover Frame), (created in the fabricator) and then constructin it in multiple stages similar to the Autolathe, Electronics printer etc. It can then be powered by batteries, there are three slots for these on the right hand side.

Recommended to press the gear wheel and set movement to first person to explore the vehicle.

Inside you can find:

Canister mount for o2 and co2
Filter slot
2 Battery mounts (chargers)
Locker with 12 slot
Suit locker
Tank mount (i presume)
Fuel canister slot under the ramp
2 areas separated by doors cockpit and storage area. There are two mounts on the rear of the rover that accept either a crate or portable tank.
