Switch Grass can be grown in hydroponics to yield 15 Hay and 1 Switch Grass Seed when fully grown. They do not need to be replanted after being harvested. Switch Grass's high yield per harvest makes it ideal for use in Composting or for the creation of Biomass with a Recycler. However, Switch Grass is inedible to Stationeers.
== Region Ore distribution == <!--T:2-->
Since update 0.2.5903.26007 (terrain update), deep ore generation is now tied to regions, with each region yielding a set ratio of ores, some regions containing only a single ore type for deep mining, with others containing two or three. The deep mining yield of a region can be detected using the Deep ore scanner tablet cartridge or using the Motherboard (Map) and a Rocket Deep Scanner Head.
Ingot (SolidFuel) is Processed in a Furnace, using a 100% Volatiles gas mixture at 950K to 100kK, and a 100KPa to 100MPa pressure range.
== Processing == <!--T:3-->

<!--T:5-->
SolidFuel can be used as mid-level fuel to generate power in the Solid Fuel Generator..

When burned in a Solid Fuel Generator, SolidFuel provides sizable 400 kJ of power per unit (20 kW for 10 ticks or 80 kJ/S for 6 seconds). However, burning it indoors can be a bad idea, as it generates pollution that is bad for the Player's health. Specifically, each unit of SolidFuel burned produces:

Description
Used in conjunction with a Hardsuit Helmet to go outside a pressurized and breathable environment. It features adjustable pressure and air conditioning (temperature) settings, as well as an warning system that will alert the occupant should the atmosphere inside the suit become hazardous. It can also carry a Hardsuit Backpack for extra storage, or a Hardsuit Jetpack for additional storage and jumpjet capabilities.

The Hardsuit has more armor than the EVA Suit, features one extra Filter slot and the ability to accept Integrated Circuit (IC10) chips. It is however much more expensive to produce due to the extreme conditions that it can survive under.

Usage
Your suit must be worn with a suitable helmet to function properly. You must insert suitable gas canisters and filters into the suit's slot (see below). These will need to be manually changed on a periodic basis, although the canisters can also be recharged/drained using a fully-supplied Suit Storage rack.

Your suit readouts are normally displayed at the top-right of the screen. Your suit functions can be accessed by pressing the Number 3 key. This will bring up a panel showing the suit's slots and its various settings. These only function when wearing a suitable closed helmet, and are as follows:
*A/C On / Off (Temperature control on/off)
*Filters On / Off (Filter
*Air On / Off
*Pressure Up / Down (with a range of 0kPA to 202kPa, or 0-2 Earth atmospheres)
*Temperature Up / Down (with a range of 0°C to 60°C)

Your suit Battery will also power (and be drained by) the light in any attached helmet. If damaged, your suit can be patched by holding Duct Tape in your right hand and holding the right mouse button. The colour of an (unworn) suit can be changed using Spray Paint.

If the helmet is open while the air release in on, air is wasted.

Slots
Contains 8 slots:
* 1x Air Tank - Insert a Canister or Gas Canister (Smart) with a breathable gas mix (for example O2, Air, Air 20/80 or Nitrox 35/65)
* 1x Waste Tank - Insert an empty Canister or Gas Canister (Smart) where gases removed by the Filters will be stored
* 1x Life Support - Insert a charged Battery Cell (ideally Large or Nuclear)
* 1x Processor - Optionally allowing for a programmed Integrated Circuit (IC10)
* 4x Filters - Insert at least one CO2 Filters (if Human), plus others depending on your breathable gas mix (usually Nitrogen)

Notes
* As noted on Venus#Real Venus, the hardsuit can survive at true Venus pressures, the Waste tank does not fill any faster at those pressures.
* Suit pressure set to 50-100 KPa (0.5 to 1 Earth atmospheres), Humans in-game tolerating 11 to ~250kPa and surviving 11 to ~300kPA)
* Suit temperature is normally set to 18-21°C, Humans in-game preferring 10-29°C, tolerating 0-39°C and surviving around -10 to 49°C
* Its has better a thermal insulation (convection and radiation) as the regular EVA Suit.
* Additional key bindings to control your suit functions can be set in the Game Settings ---> Controls.

* The maximum allowed pressure the filters can cope with in the Waste Tank is 4052kPa (well below its maximum pressure). Low/critical Oxygen warnings will occur close to this value as your Filters cease to function.
* The default filter is the CO2 filter, a gas generated by the Human character when consuming breathable gas
* Make sure if you aren't using 100% Oxygen in your breathing gas that you add additional Filters! E.g. if you put the common "Air" mixture of 25% Oxygen + 75% Nitrogen into your tank, the Nitrogen would accumulate in your suit/helmet over time and suffocate you unless you have a Nitrogen filter to remove this.
* If you have the correct filters and breathable gas but are still experiencing problems, refer to the 'Flush' function on your Space Helmet

* It is theoretically possible to mix EVA Suit elements and Hardsuit elements, although this is relatively uncommon
* Damaged suits can be recycled (assuming you have a new one to use!)
* Equipping an Integrated Circuit (IC10) in the designated slot has a constant power draw of 5 watts from the suit battery.
* Writing to the Error parameter with an Integrated Circuit (IC10) creates an audible sound, this could be used for custom alerts.

Integrated Circuit
The Hardsuit is uniquely capable of accepting an Integrated Ciruit (IC10). Within a Hardsuit, this IC cannot toggle itself off and will run as long as there is battery power in the suit, until the IC is removed.
Automation
Some ideas for automating the suit using an Integrated Circuit (IC10) include
* Closing the helmet in a hostile atmosphere
* Locking the helmet in a hostile atmosphere
* Unlocking the helmet in a good atmosphere
* Deactivating airflow, filtration, and AC when helmet is open and in a good atmosphere , and reactivating them when helmet is closed.
* Only activating filtration when CO2 levels are too high. This can greatly increase the lifetime of the filters, and reduces power use.
Your suit must be worn with a suitable helmet to function properly. You must insert suitable gas canisters and filters into the suit's slot (see below). These will need to be manually changed on a periodic basis, although the canisters can also be recharged/drained using a fully-supplied Suit Storage rack.

The Zrilian is a DLC alternative playable species that is similar in appearance to a goblin, with unique coloration, pointy ears, and very vibrant gem colored eyes.

Features
Zrilians are similar to regular humans; they need to eat food, drink water, breathe, and take damage from the same sources. Their pressure and temperature tolerances are also the same. Their differences lie in the way they breathe: they breathe in volatiles and exhale nitrous oxide.

Because Volatiles and Oxygen have a tendency to combust (this mixture is known commonly as Fuel), they have trouble living among humans and plants. Both humans and plants cannot breathe volatiles, as a Zrilian cannot breathe oxygen. It is advised to create separate living spaces for Zrilians and Humans, and Zrilian farmers need to take caution into properly filtering oxygen out of their plots. Atmosphere-to-Atmosphere Airlocks should be used to travel between these spaces, reinforced with steel frames and blast doors in case of combustion.

Because Zrilians exhale nitrous oxide, it is advised to never empty a Zrilian waste tank in a human environment, as there is potential to stun every human in every connected room.

Oxygen is not as toxic to Zrilian anatomy as Volatiles are to humans. This allows Zrilians to use welding fuel tanks as a suit air source in a pinch.

Starting Equipment
Same as a human but with a canister full of volatiles instead of oxygen to breath, and nitrous oxide filters for instead of CO2.
== Region Ore distribution == <!--T:2-->
Used to store two mining tools (or 2 tools of any type) and 8 slots for ores. When the belt is equipped, mined ores are automatically stored inside it.

Items stored in the mining belt can be removed automatically using an Unloader.

The Mining Belt's ability to store 8 ore stacks per belt while also fitting into a single backpack or locker slot, allows achieving incredible storage densities by placing multiple belts within the same inventory. A single Hardsuit Backpack using all slots to store Mining Belts could hold 96 stacks of ore. Using a double wide locker to hold Hardsuit Backpacks filled with ore would be capable of holding 2880 stacks of ore, or 144000 individual ores.
}}

Description
Used in conjunction with a Space Helmet to go outside a pressurized and breathable environment. It features adjustable pressure and air conditioning (temperature) settings, as well as an warning system that will alert the occupant should the atmosphere inside the suit become hazardous. It can also carry a Spacepack for additional storage and jumpjet capabilities.

The EVA Suit is the lightest of the two available suits being the Hardsuit.

This will bring up a panel showing the slots and their various settings. These only function when wearing a suitable closed helmet, and are as follows:
*A/C On/Off (i.e. Temperature control on/off)
*Filters On/Off
*Air On/Off
*Pressure Up/Down (with a range of 0kPA~202kPa, or 0~2 Earth atmospheres)
*Temperature Up/Down (with a range of 0°C~60°C)

Your suit Battery will also power (and be drained by) the light in any attached helmet. If damaged, your suit can be patched by holding Duct Tape in your right hand and holding the right mouse button. The colour of an (unworn) suit can be changed using Spray Paint.

Slots
Contains 6 slots:
* 1x Breathable gas canister - Insert a Canister or a Gas Canister (Smart) with breathable gas mix (for example O2, Air, Air 20/80 or Nitrox 35/65)
* 1x Waste Tank - Insert an empty Canister or Gas Canister (Smart) where gases filtered by the Filters will be stored.
* 1x Life Support - Insert a charged Battery Cell.
* 3x Filters - Insert at least one CO2 Filters (if Human), others depending on your breathable gas mixture (usually Nitrogen)

Resource consumption
Human:
*Oxygen consumption by difficulties
**Easy (OxygenRate 1): 0.82 mol/minute ± 4%
**Normal (OxygenRate 2): 1.05 mol/minute ± 4.5%
**Stationeer (OxygenRate 4): 3.41 mol/minute ± 1.5%
Actual Formula: 0.0048 mole pr tick (x 1.5 x difficulty multiplier)

Notes
* Suit pressure set to 50-100 KPa (0.5 to 1 Earth's atmosphere), Humans in-game tolerating 11~250kPa and surviving 11~300kPA)
* Suit temperature is set by default to range between 18~21°C, Humans in-game preferring 10~29°C, tolerating 0~39°C and surviving around -10~49°C
* Additional key bindings to control your suit functions can be set in the Game Settings ---> Controls.

* The maximum allowed pressure inside the filters can cope with in the Waste Tank is 4052kPa (below its maximum pressure). Low/critical Oxygen warnings will occur close to this value as your filters cease to function.
* The default filter is the CO2 filter, a gas generated by the Human character when consuming breathable gas.
* If you have the correct filters and breathable gas but are still experiencing problems, refer to the "Flush" function on your Space Helmet

* It is theoretically possible to mix EVA Suit elements and Hardsuit elements, although this is relatively uncommon.
* Damaged suits can be recycled assuming you have another one.

Additional Explanation of Breathing inside a Suit
Think of it this way: You start with a 100% Oxygen atmosphere in your suit/helmet. Through breathing you will replace some of the O2 with CO2. The CO2 will be removed by the suit's filters (which are by default three CO2 filters), in turn dropping the pressure in the suit/helmet. The breathing tank will replenish the suit's pressure atmosphere (with whatever is in the breathing tank) until the target pressure of the suit is reached again. This cycle will repeat over and over. So if you have anything else than pure O2 in your breathing tank, it will be introduced into the atmosphere of your suit and will accumulate over time (ultimately to 100%, because you're not breathing it and it doesn't get filtered out!) If you don't have pure Oxygen available or choose not to use it, you can use other gas mixtures, but must be sure that you add the appropriate filters to your suit as well.
