[[Road Flare | Road Flares]] are part of the [[Starting Gear| Starting Gear]] and are found scattered around the spawn area. They burn for a short period of time and give out a distinct red glow in a small area. In a zero atmosphere environment, a road flare burns for approximately 5 minutes and 5 seconds. Further testing required for different environments/configuration.&lt;br /&gt;

While smelting steel is easily achieved with ice, other recipes usually require a working piping setup. This can be done by separating gases into tanks using atmospheric units and piping individual gases through a mixer and a [[Special:MyLanguage/Pressure Regulator|Pressure Regulator]] or a [[Special:MyLanguage/Pipe Volume Pump|Pipe Volume Pump]] connected to the furnace input. Output should also be extracted and vented/recycled through a backpressure regulator to keep furnace pressure in check. The optimal gas mix that burns completely is 1 part (33.3%) oxygen to 2 parts (66.6%) volatiles, other mixes would also work but leave you with leftover oxygen or volatiles depending on the percentages used. It could also result in lower temperature if that is desired, but you could also use a volume pump with a lower fuel input setting.&lt;br /&gt;

Used in conjunction with a [[Hardsuit Helmet]] to go outside a pressurized and breathable environment.  It features adjustable pressure and air conditioning (temperature) settings, as well as an warning system that will alert the occupant should the atmosphere inside the suit become hazardous.  It can also carry a [[Hardsuit Backpack]] for extra storage, or a [[Hardsuit Jetpack]] for additional storage and jumpjet capabilities.  &lt;br /&gt;

The [[Hardsuit]] has more armor than the [[EVA Suit]], features one extra [[Filter]] slot and the ability to accept [[Integrated_Circuit_(IC10)|Integrated Circuit (IC10)]] chips.  It is however much more expensive to produce.&lt;br /&gt;

==Usage==&lt;br /&gt;
Your suit must be worn with a suitable helmet to function properly.  You must insert suitable gas canisters and filters into the suit&#039;s slot (see below).  These will need to be manually changed on a periodic basis, although the canisters can also be recharged/drained using a fully-supplied [[Suit Storage]] rack.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Your suit readouts are normally displayed at the top-right of the screen.  Your suit functions can be accessed by pressing the Number &#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;3&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039; key.  This will bring up a panel showing the suit&#039;s slots and its various settings.  These only function when wearing a suitable closed helmet, and are as follows:&lt;br /&gt;

Within a Hardsuit, this IC cannot toggle itself off and will run as long as there is battery power in the suit, until the IC is removed. It has these unique logic variables and interactions (along with the standard variables).&lt;br /&gt;

Gas [[Canister]] is used to store gasses. The gasses can then be output at a rate of 101.325 kPa per tick. Over-pressurizing the canister will cause it to explode. The &amp;quot;standard pressure&amp;quot; when spawned is defined as 8106 kPa, or 80 Earth Atmospheres.  The maximum pressure for a canister is 10.132 MPa, or 100 atmospheres. Its internal volume is 64 Litres.&lt;br /&gt;

==Usage==&lt;br /&gt;
To fill the canister, place it into a [[Gas Tank Storage]] unit connected to a pipe network carrying gas (equalising the pressure in the network and canister). It can also be refilled by inserting it into the striped area above of the [[Portable Tank]].&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When held in the hands, a canister can be opened, causing its contents to equalise with the atmosphere (or contents of a sealed room).&lt;br /&gt;
