Phase Diagram of Hydrochloric Acid

Description

Hydrochloric Acid is an extremely toxic gas that is a liquid at room temperature and pressure.

It is toxic to plants at concentrations as low as 0.1%, a property that is only shared by Hydrazine. It's also toxic to humans, zrilians and chickens at concentrations above 1kPa.

Usage

Its moderately specific heat makes it a thermal buffer when Nitrous Oxide, Water or Silanol aren't available in sufficient quantities. For phase change, Nitrous Oxide, Silanol and Pollutant are generally considered better options.

Sources

Hydrochloric Acid can be found on the Atmosphere of Venus, as well as acquired from traders as an impurity present on dirty volatiles.
