Obtaining
Ore (Gold) is an ore that can be mined throughout the surface and underground of a planet or an asteroid using a Mining Drill or Pickaxe. Gold ore can also be obtained by processing dirty ore from a Deep Miner using a Centrifuge or Combustion Centrifuge.
Processing
Gold ore can be turned into a gold ingot by smelting it in an Arc Furnace, Furnace, or Advanced Furnace. Gold is also an ingredient of Electrum and Inconel.
Smelting in an Arc Furnace requires 2000 Energy. Using a Furnace or Advanced Furnace requires the following conditions:
| Pressure (Pa) | Temperature (K) | Temperature (°C) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Min | 100 kPa | 600 K | 327 °C |
| Max | 100 MPa | 100 kK | 99.7 k°C |
Smelting one gold ore produces the following gases:
| Amount | Gas |
|---|---|
| 2 mol | Pollutant |
| 0.5 mol | Nitrogen |
| 0.2 mol | Carbon Dioxide |
| 0.2 mol | Oxygen |
