Hunger is a survival mechanic requiring the regular consumption of Food. Player characters start off with a full nutrition stat, which depletes over time to 0% at a rate dependent on the difficulty level.
Players lose nutrition at a base rate of 100%/hour (33.3%/ingame day), which is then increased by 10% when at low Mood and multiplied by the difficulty setting's nutrition rate: 50% on easy, 100% on normal and 150% on stationeer difficulty settings. Once the nutrition stat goes below 0%, the player takes 0.1 Starvation damage/tick, which is healed at the same rate once nutrition returns to normal.
Restoring this stat from 0 to 100% requires 50 nutrition from Food items.
