Sanitation

Separate from Hygiene, Sanitation is a game mechanic which while currently having no impact is likely to introduce a medium-to-long-term need for a livable atmosphere on higher difficulties, while introducing an opportunity to substantially reduce water consumption rate by recovering consumed water.
It's completely absent on Easy difficulty, and proxies off both Hunger and Thirst mechanics for buildup rate, making its presence less pronounced on medium difficulty.
Players have a Stomach organ with a 10 L capacity. Water inside the stomach (obtained from drinking at a 1:1 rate, or from some foods) is metabolized into Polluted Water at a rate of 20 L/h while being equalized to a 37°C body temperature. This conversion/equalization is halted on a Sleeper/Cryo Tube and multiplied by offline metabolism multipliers for offline players.
Sanitation needs correspond to 20%/L of polluted water inside the stomach. The sanitation meter is only visible after it reaches 25%, enabling use of Waste Bags and Toilets, which can be used to empty the meter. Allowing the meter to get full results in the player soiling themselves, ejecting the stomach's polluted water contents into the suit's internal atmosphere or the world depending on whether the player is wearing a suit capable of containing an internal atmosphere at the time.
If the player is in a soiled environment (containing more than 10% polluted water by molar contents), their Hygiene stat will decrease by 5%/tick, and their movement speed will decrease by 5% (multiplicatively with other debuffs).
